Lidonga Technology and Telecoms was established in 2006 to be the a highly competitive force in the technology sector with specific focus on providing impetus to the mobile commerce revolution as part of the long term vision of the grouping of highly innovative and competent technologists and communication specialits.

Lidonga Technology & Telecoms are the owners of 40+ international patents in mobile commerce technology and has extensive experience in implementing it's solutions on the international stage.

What Lidonga Technology and Telecoms does

  1. Innovate mobile commerce solutions to enable end users to use mobile dives and associated  systems as a true and viable alternative to traditional payment methodologies.
  2. Develop user interfaces to facilitate the access and management of  third party systems and Resources via GSM platform.
  3. To proliferate GSM based technology that will allow the developing  world and traditionally disenfranchised people groups to grow commerce and regional economies through the usage of mobile commerce.


OUR TECHNOLOGY

  1.  The technology that is an embodiment of the RSA patent number 1924/2002 is unique to Lidonga. The technology’s core is a product dispensing system for value carrying  codes that also functions as a GSM based mobile commerce solution. The technology is designed and developed to be a true and viable alternative to current available payment methodologies.
  2.  Lidonga continually strives to develop this technology in order to harness the power behind mobile communication system thus to make more products and services available to the nearly 40 million cellular users in South Africa Our technology has passed stringent tests and has been scrutinized extensively.

  5. Market penetration is achieved through the “boom” that the cell phone industry has experienced in South Africa in the last few years. It is estimated that 95% of the   population utilizes  cell phones on a daily basis and our technology usage cuts across  all LSM’s  and users are found in both urban and rural areas.

Executive Chairman
Ms Constance (Connie) Nkosi BA. AEP (UNISA), MBA (Wits)

An entrepreneur with an excellent track record in business, Connie Nkosi’s career began in 1969 with a degree in psychology from the University of Zululand. This was followed by numerous qualifications, which include becoming the first black woman to obtain an MBA (University of Witwatersrand) in South Africa. She is currently enrolled with Intec  for a Diploma in Mining.

Her business expertise in finance and marketing led to her appointment as Area Manager for the Permanent Building Society (Nedbank), a position she held for 5 years. She then joined SA Rail Commuter Corporation as Communications Manager and was later promoted to Group General Manager - Strategic Planning and Communications. A well-known public figure, Connie Nkosi is a member of the Board of Directors of  Pick ‘n Pay Ltd; and is the non-executive Chairperson of First Technology (Pty) Ltd and a non-executive director of  Primeserv.  Connie has previously served on the boards of: British American Tobacco, Lonhro Africa, Cash Bank , Sotta International and Uthingo Management (Pty) Ltd.

Robert George Murray (Roan)
Achievements :
  • Implemented ISO 9001 quality standard in National Information Systems  - 1996
  • Invented data security platform for SAPS and Implemented platform at all border posts – 1995
  • Lead Development team that implemented Legal Administration and Financial Managent software package for Financial Administration Practices 1998
  • Won the contract to setup, install and maintain the Futurekids computer learning centres in the Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces 1999.
  • Lead a Development team that implemented a turnkey solution for the management of Loss Adjuster Practices 1998.
  • Invented a technology that is known as Mobile Commerce 1999.
  • System Architect of International development team that developed the first GSM based M-commerce platform 2000.

Phillip Suckerman
Achievements:

  • In then joined a group of local Zimbabweans in setting up a service provider business for the Government owned cellular network and spent three years consulting for the consortium.
  • Joined Telia and Telenor as a consultant for the preparation for the bid document for the license to operate the third cellular network in South Africa. The Bidders were given one year to compile the documents. During this period Phillip also assisted with the setting up of the prepaid airtime retail distribution network for MTC the only cellular network operating in Namibia at the time in which Telia had a large interest. After the unsuccessful bid of Telia\ Telenor Phillip spent time consulting for various companies who were engaged with the marketing and distribution of prepaid cellular airtime
  • Obtained a distribution agreement from Sentech for distribution of wireless broadband services, Mywireless and later on in the year obtained a distribution agreement from WBS ( Wireless Business Solutions) For the marketing of their broadband wireless products  i- Burst.
  • Assited in setting-up a company GVSC (Global Voip Switching Centre) for the marketing of voice over the internet products and services. At the end of December 2006 Phillip terminated his service with the company and is now ready for a new challenge in the telecommunications industry for the year 2007 onwards.
  • Implimented virtual distribution for vodacom Cell C and MTN.
